Prince Albert II, in solidarity with India after the collapse of the Morbi bridge
The provisional toll is 137 dead, including fifty children.
As the Prince addressed this Monday morning his condolences to the South Korean President following the mob which added the death of more than 150 people in Seoul on October 29the Sovereign has also just expressed his support for the Prime Minister of the Republic of India, Narendra Modi, following the deadly collapse of a bridge in the town of Morbi.

It is with great emotion and great sadness that I learned of the tragic collapse of the Morbi bridge, during the celebrations of the Diwali festival, which is unfortunately the cause of many deaths.
In these tragic circumstances, allow me, as well as my family and the people of Monaco, to send my most sincere condolences to the families of the victims, and to express our support and our sympathy to the injured and to those who have survived.
I also want to commend the massive rescue efforts by police, military and emergency response teams.
Allow me to assure you, Prime Minister, of our deep solidarity in these difficult times.

It was during a religious holiday, this Sunday, October 30, that the suspension bridge collapsed. For now, the provisional toll reports 137 dead, including fifty children. According to several media, nine people, linked to a company in charge of the maintenance of the bridge, were arrested for involuntary homicides.
