Looking at the expected geographic changes, there is a clear trend towards proximity. Central Europe is becoming more important for 57 percent and Eastern Europe for 38 percent, while a full 60 percent assume that China will become less important for them as a supplier in the next twelve months. 52 percent in industry, 51 percent in IT and 21 percent in banks [Outsourcing nach] Eastern Europe. Meanwhile, a full 75 percent in the food industry, 68 percent in IT, 64 percent in pharmaceuticals and 58 percent in industry want to reduce their dependence on China.

Zurich (OTS) – The current crises are forcing companies even more to question their processes and services, to consistently develop them further and still remain cost-efficient. That outsourcing of services is still a promising option to reduce costs – but it no longer necessarily has to be “farshoring”. Our Top Speakers Lounge will be showing on November 30th in Zurich keynote speaker dr Stefan Brupbacher (Director Swissmem) that Potential of the CEE countries for the Swiss economy up and then discussed chances and risks with a prominent panel of experts. The subsequent aperitif riche offers the opportunity to network with the discussants and event participants.
For companies in Austria and Switzerland, the close has increased in recent years Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) excelled for process outsourcing. This is also underlined by this year’s NZZ SME barometer:
