Asylum debate in Tyrol: FPÖ criticizes asylum management
The FPÖ criticizes the asylum management in a broadcast. According to the FPÖ state party chairman Abwerzger, concerned parents had reported to the FPÖ because container accommodation for asylum seekers near the school was planned. Abwerzger doesn’t see the containers as a problem.
INNSBRUCK. The FPÖ found in its broadcast that the asylum spectacle of the black-red state government is one act richer. State Councilor Astrid Mair and LHS Deputy. Georg Dornauer affirm “that we shouldn’t stumble back to 2015”. For the liberal state party chairman Markus Abwerzger, this shows “how far from reality the state government is. We have long since reached the conditions of 2015. Our warnings about this for months have unfortunately been ignored,” says Abwerzger.

The latest plans of LH-Stv. Dornauer bring Abwerzger but now the camel’s back. Dornauer will use containers for accommodation.
“The fact that containers are used is not the problem, although it shows that our capacities have long been exceeded and no precautions have been taken. The problem is the location for these container cities. I have heard that these containers are to be used right next to schools in both Kranebitten and Vomperbach.
Several concerned parents have already contacted us about this,” says Abwerzger, who calls for an immediate end to these plans.
Restrictive asylum policy
Abwerzger sharply criticized these plans and once again called for a restrictive asylum policy. “The majority of those who come here have no chance of asylum and have no business with us. It finally needs a reversal and increasing numbers of deportations instead of new asylum applications. I demand a remigration booster to protect your own population. The crime statistics speak a clear language in connection with migrant violence,” says Abwerzger, who finally also notes that in view of the massive wave of inflation, we need the money for our Tyroleans.
