Peter R. Maltese | Republican-American
OAKVILLE – Peter R. Maltese, 31 years old from Oakville, died suddenly at his home on Tuesday, October 25, 2022.
Peter was born on September 10, 1991, in Salem, Mass., the son of Peter C. Maltese. He graduated from Watertown High School and attended Porter & Chester Institute, where he studied auto mechanics.
Peter was a loving father and was always happiest when spending time with his children. If Pietru was spending time with his children or helping to take care of his grandfather with whom he made his home, he could always be found “boring” around the house. He enjoyed taking things apart and fixing gadgets of all kinds.
Left to honor his memory and cherish his legacy are his three sons, Carter and Brayden Maltese of Watertown, and Payton Maltese of Waterbury. He also leaves his father, Peter C. Maltese and his wife Chris, of Florida; his paternal grandparents with whom he made his home, Vincent and Marianne Maltin of Oakville; his brother, Christopher Maltese of Waterbury, his uncle, Vincent Maltese III of Winter Haven, Fla., his brothers-in-law, Richard C. Straiton and his wife Sharon, of Bethel; his great aunt, Debbie Curtiss and her husband Robert, of Meriden; his great-uncle, John Maltese and his wife Sherry, of Glastonbury; as well as several cousins, extended family members, and many friends.
A memorial service for Peter will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, from 5 to 7 pm at Casey-O’Neill Funeral Home 742 Main St., Oakville, CT 06779.
Loving kindness is always welcome, and it only takes a moment to offer a message of condolence and share a memory or words of comfort with family and friends of someone who was important to you. Please do so on the funeral tribute page at caseyfunerals.com.
If you are able, however, attending a service is the thoughtful, caring, and supportive thing to do.
