News from 8 a.m. – All Saints’ Day holidays: in Annecy, tourism is more regional than national
Despite particularly high temperatures at the end of October, some hoteliers have hard to fill up during this first week of All Saints holidays. The situation could nevertheless improve in the days to come, in particular due to the return of gasoline at service stations.
Located on the shores of Lake Annecy, the Boutique Hotel is a beautiful place. For this coming week, the hopes are good: “For the moment, it should go well with a regional rather than a national clientele. We are rather helped by the weather and by this off-season which is very mild”, assured Benoit, one of the employees of the establishment, at the microphone of RTL.
Asked about the reasons for the tourist choice of the region, he explained that “the geography, between lake and mountain, with today a water which is still 17 degrees” was one of the key elements. He also evoked “walks accessible nearby“as well as a “touristy” city of Annecy located between Switzerland and Italy “where it is pleasant to stroll”.
