Border controls reveal fake identity
By the way, Romanians – the Federal Police will not allow suspected forgers of documents to enter the country
The federal police uncovered several cases of false Romanian identities during border controls on the A93 near Kiefersfelden. On Thursday (October 27) the officials revealed the true origin of an allegedly Romanian bus inmate. Before that, two men who were traveling in a van had to admit to the federal police officers that they had only pretended to be Romanian nationals. And yet another bus passenger tried in vain to pretend to be a Romanian at passport control. The suspected forgers of documents all had to give up their travel plans.
The man, who had identified himself on an Italian coach with a Romanian identity card, was in fact a Syrian national. The ID he showed to the control officers was confirmed to be a “blatant forgery”. When his luggage is searched, a forged Italian ID card turns up. The 21-year-old Syrian was reported in two cases for illegal entry attempts and document forgery.
A few hours earlier, a van with German license plates identified two passengers, also with Romanian papers. Their IDs, it turned out, were completely forged. Accused of forging documents, the 17- and 22-year-olds declared that they actually came from the Republic of Moldova. Both may have criminal charges for forgery of documents and attempted unauthorized entry.
For a 33-year-old, the journey in a bus registered in Italy came to an untimely end at the federal police checkpoint on the Inntal autobahn. The officers quickly realized that the documents they were carrying, a Romanian ID card and a Romanian driver’s license, were false. In this case, too, the alleged Romanian was a Moldovan. He also “collected” a complaint. A comparison of his personal details with the database of the police computer revealed that he had previously been linked to allegations of document forgery.
The Rosenheim federal police finally told the men that they would be refused entry into the Federal Republic of Germany. All four left the country with the respective criminal charges in their luggage.
