the circular metro will be an hour longer this weekend
Switching to winter time obliges, lines A and B of the Toulouse metro will run an hour longer during the night of Saturday 29 to Sunday 30 October. The last departure will be given at 3 a.m., according to winter time, which will correspond to 4 a.m., in summer time.
Every year, the clocks are moved back sixty minutes to switch to winter time. In 2022, this modification of the schedules takes place on the night of Saturday 29 to Sunday 30 October. To adapt to changes, the transport network in Toulouse, Tisséo, announces that the lines A and B of the circular metro will be an hour longer that night.
Indeed, normally, the last departures from each terminus are at midnight from Sunday to Thursday, and at 3 am on Friday and Saturday nights. Not to deviate from the rule, the circular trains therefore go up to 3 o’clock, in winter time, which will correspond to 4 o’clock in the morning in summer time.
Everyone planning to party on Saturday won’t need to run to catch the last metro. They could even enjoy their evening an hour of morewhile others will take advantage of the transition to winter time to sleep an extra hour.
Time change for the Téléo cable car in Toulouse
In addition, Tisséo announces that the Téléo cable car will stop working from 10 p.m. from this Monday, October 31, instead of 12:30 a.m. This change is not linked to the transition to winter time, but to the measures put in place by the town hall of Toulouse to reduce energy consumption. In order to ensure the connection between the Université Paul Sabatier and Oncopole Lise Enjalbert stations, after 10 p.m., Tisséo advises:
- from Oncopole Lise Enjalbert: take Lineo line 5 (direction Empalot), then transfer to Metro line B (direction Ramonville) at Empalot to reach Université Paul Sabatier station.
- from Université Paul Sabatier: take Metro line B (direction Borderouge), then transfer to Linéo line 5 (direction Portet Gare-SNCF) at Empalot to reach the Oncopole Lise Enjalbert station.
As a reminder, the modification of the Téléo schedules is not the only change that you observe in Toulouse as soon as winter time changes. The frequency of passage of metro trains will be adjusted. In off-peak hours, the waiting time will increase by 20 seconds on weekdays and 40 seconds on weekends. And on line B, users will have a train available every 80 seconds during peak hours.
