Prince Albert II Foundation Environmental Photography Prize
In addition to good notoriety, photographers will be awarded up to €5,000, depending on their price.
It is an increasingly important photography contest. By rewarding photographers for their service in raising awareness of environmental protection, the Environmental Photography Prize has, in just two years, carved out a place for itself among the other competitions.
From Wednesday 2 November, the Prince Albert II Foundation opens registration for the third edition of the competition. Each photographer who wishes will have until January 15, 2023 to submit up to five photos reflecting our relationship with nature and the close links between human health and planetary health.
Like last year, the photographer who won the Main Prize wins €5,000. The winners of the other five categories, which are Polar Wonders, Marine Worlds, In the Heart of the Forest, Humanity versus Nature and Actors of Change, Bearers of Hope, will be awarded a prize of €1,000. The Public Prize and the High School Students’ Prize allow their winners to receive €500 each.
Photos with a strong message
Last year the winners of the various Prizes had the chance to see their photography exhibited on the Promenade du Larvotto throughout the month of June. We particularly remember the striking photo of a dying elephant in the middle of a dump or that of two children fleeing a forest in flames, forcing the comparison with The Napalm Girl by Nick Ut.
