Farkas from TSV Hartberg ahead of FC Red Bull Salzburg’s hurdle: “Don’t go there to congratulate them” – Bundesliga
Front runner vs. tail light! 11 ranks and 20 points difference! These and other factors speak in the unequal duel of the 14th lap ADMIRAL Bundesliga between RB Salzburg and TSV Hartberg clear for the Red Bulls. In their last home game of the year (then 3x away with Champions League – AC Milan – and Liga in Kärnten, WAC + Austria Klagenfurt) after 3 draws en suite in the Red Bull Arena, they finally want to score full points again. The Oststeirer only has the vague hope that the hosts will rotate and rest some players, with some being injured and battered anyway.
In the first leg on August 6th, it was no easy task for Maximilian Wöber (left) and Red Bull Salzburg against Lukas Fadinger (right), whose game tomorrow is questionable, and TSV. At that time, the Schmidt protégés demanded everything from the Red Bulls. At the moment, however, the East Styrians are not bursting with self-confidence and are traveling to the city of Mozart with the “Red Lantern”.
The status quo in the “bull stable” is as follows: The Argentine Nicholas Capaldo (Knee), the Brazilian Fernando (thigh) and the Nigerian Samson Tijani (Shinbone and fibula) are finally out. striker Sekou Koita has recently returned to training with the team, but is still behind in training. Whether central defender Oumar Solet (thigh) and/or Andrew Ulmer (Adductors) – the captain will be 37 on Sunday – is still open.
centre-back Strahinja Pavlovic missing due to a yellow-red card from the last Bundesliga game against Sturm Graz.
“Milan game will obviously be in the back of boys’ minds”
RBS head coach Matthias Jaissle before Duel with the East Styrians: “It’s a big challenge this time because the Milan game will obviously be in the back of the boys’ minds. We can have something like a final in the Champions League on Wednesday.
But I am convinced that they will be able to fully focus on Hartberg on Saturday afternoon, which has distinguished us in the past. That’s why I’m confident that we can do it tomorrow as well. Of course we want to win the last home game of the year and give something back to our fans, who have given us great support this year. From that point of view, the task for our team is clear – no matter what the starting XI looks like.”
“A heavy burden for body and mind”
Forward Junior Adamu: “Even if Hartberg is last in the table, it’s not an easy match for us. We had Chelsea during the week and we’re playing AC Milan next Wednesday, which puts a lot of strain on body and mind. But we have to get these games out of ourselves and be fully focused on the Bundesliga skills. Hartberg will defend himself tooth and nail, so we need our full concentration and a good attitude so that we can get over it and get 3 points.”
6 defeats from the last 7 BL games
The game will be kicked off on Saturday, October 29th at 5 p.m. by referee Gerhard Grobelnik – from 5 p.m I am League portal LIVETICKER.
The guests come to the Red Bull Arena like a “battered boxer”, have suffered 6 “downfalls” in the past 7 BL games, including two 1:5 claps in their current “English week” (at home vs. WSG Tirol, Wednesday at SK Rapid). The Red Bulls won the first leg on 6 August in round 3 of the Profert Arena 2-0 with goals from Fernando (50′) and Capaldo (61′). At least the two goal scorers will no longer annoy the Hartbergers in the return match, as both are injured.
In contrast, TSV is missing Christian clamp & Philip Storm (both injured). Behind the insert Luke fader there is still a question mark (deep cut in the left thumb).
“Nobody will rely on us – that can be our chance”
TSV head coach Klaus Schmidt: “Unfortunately, we didn’t manage to liberate ourselves against Rapid. After a more than passable first half, we unfortunately had to give up. Now, 3 days later, it’s against the Champions League squad from Salzburg. In Wals-Siezenheim we can only surprise, because many will not really have us on their bill.”
TSV right-back Patrick Farcaswho has won 4 championship titles with RB Salzburg, before the match at the old workplace: “We are in a very difficult situation at the moment. We all know that we have to do better and correct the mistakes as soon as possible in order to score and regain the connection to the front places.
No one is bet on us and that can be our chance. We certainly won’t go there to congratulate them on their performances in the league and the Champions League. We will resist with everything we have, fight duels and bring the virtues that distinguish Hartberg onto the pitch. We try to implement these points, then we can surprise. If none of us were expected, you are known to be the most dangerous and can create a sensation. Anything is possible in a game, it won’t be easy, but we have to look ahead, wipe our mouths, get up and give our all in Salzburg.”
