News: On your social networks, you have subscribers by the millions, even by the hundreds of millions. How do you deal with such success?
Taic: We first surround ourselves with a good team and above all we remain very solid. Upstream of all this, you have to have been well educated, keep your feet firmly on the ground. Then, one tries to take care of his followers. We respond to them, we listen to them. Sometimes I create pieces with them or thanks to them.
You are the first to have defined your music as Afrolove. You created this style. Is it to be commented on?
T: It is above all very gratifying as a situation. To think that my idea could create a trademark of what I do, it’s pleasant. The fact that people around talk about it like music, like a brand, it’s rewarding.
people and work
You have done guest appearances with Manu Dibango, Chris, Gazo, Soprano… How do you approach them?
T: In the simplest way possible: live. It’s done from artist to artist. We meet, we sympathize, we talk about music and we think we can do something together. It will be very humane. There has to be a desire, there has to be something human. Because if the human is not there, it cannot work.
The human seems to be very important in your way of being…
T: Yes, even in the texts, it is very important. You have to talk about what you know, be sincere. I speak, I sing real things. I try not to invent anything.
Yet you are a fan of cinema. Have you ever been tempted to script certain songs?
T: In 30% of cases, it can be. I can take back things heard, seen or experienced.

Another concept that comes up a lot with you, that of work…
T: Work is the basis of everything. You have to surpass yourself with each new project, work to always be better. You have to be able to delight people while delighting yourself.
Your tour is impressive in terms of dates, how did you prepare it?
T: With my whole team and being close to everyone, the director, the dancers…. We didn’t always have time to put on the shows well. There we were able to do it and worked a lot for it.
