“Polska Stasiak”. The story of a politician at a difficult time
Władysław Stasiak was remembered more importantly from the head of the law firm of Lech Kaczyński. However, Wiktor Świet in “Poland of Staka” reveals too much – from the youthful struggle with communism, through the prevention of more weapons, to secret international talks about the fate of Iraq and the security of Europe.
For the Stasiak administration, history was not an opportunity to pursue erudition, but only led them to learn lessons: through the repetitions of evil, which our community experienced more than once.
– I wrote the introduction to Professor Andrzej Nowak’s book. “Polska Stasiak” by Wiktor Świetik is a biography of one of the most interesting and talented Polish politicians after 1989.
It is not only a fascinating political life story, but also reflections on what is missing in Polish public life today
– says the author of the book.
Together with him, we follow the hero’s biographies from the times of the Wrocław, high school and student opposition in the final period of the Polish People’s Republic. Then we will traverse the corridors of the highest chambers of control and visit the rooms of inspectors fighting against corruption, arms smuggling, and Esbek ties. Include rolling checking with the benefit of finding a connection with rolling with the Warsaw post. Eventually the tip is in the world of politics. In the corridors of the White House, international missions, strategic meetings at the headquarters of the National Security Bureau, and then in the office of Lech Kaczyński, where Władysław Stasiak was treated as the future leader of the Polish right.
In 2010, all that happened to the beginning of a great political career. Future right-wing leader and president
– says Wiktor Świetlik.
How would the further fate of his hero develop? The logic of history the second decade of the twenty-first century actually happens to be that most likely is happening. These hopes were interrupted by the Smolensk tragedy, in which the book’s hero died on the presidential plane.
Wiktor Świetlik not only presents the profile and biography of Władysław Stas, but we deal with the problems that Poland faced in 1989 and I am looking for a solution precisely in the work of the protagonist of his book. The book, like the profile of the hero, became up-to-date during the previous invasion of Ukraine, when the knowledge and hero of the target company were of use in telecommunications. Fortunately, he makes available to us his intellectual legacy and achievements, which we can draw from, thanks to which we can ensure packaging.
