Toulouse: chased, fugitives throw bundles of €10,000 and €3,000 out of the car window
Pursued by the police, men threw wads of cash out of their car windows. Several thousand euros were thus thrown in the middle of Toulouse.
This is called throwing money away. Sunday, October 23, at the end of the afternoon, an identity check was fired in a chase in the Rangueil sector in Toulouse. Two people described themselves in a car when police officers wanted to check them. The driver did not comply, he fled, followed by the police.
As he drove, packages were thrown out of the windows onto the roadway. Quickly, the fugitives stopped their vehicle. Not to submit to control, but to run away. One was quickly overpowered by a policeman, but he rebelled and kicked him in the hand, causing a fracture.
Two police officers injured
The official must be taken to the emergency room. Determined not to let himself be taken on board, the suspect continued to rebel. He injured another policeman. The two men, aged 32 and 50, were taken into custody. As for the products they had thrown out the window under the eyes of the police, they were not narcotics, but two bonds of banknotes. One for €10,000 and the second for €3,000.
During the searches, the investigators still got their hands on the cash for a value of €1,150. The injured police officers were prescribed two days and ten days of total work stoppage by the medical examiner. At the end of his police custody, the younger of the two suspects apprehended was released. His sidekick, already deemed known to justice, must be tried very quickly before the criminal court, in particular for non-justification of resources.
