The Rugby World Cup train arrives at Toulouse station
Departing from Lille in July, the 2023 Rugby World Cup train stops at Toulouse Matabiau station on October 31 and November 1.
D-day is approaching. The 2023 Rugby World Cup opens in less than a year. The event takes place in Francefor the second time, from September 8 to October 28, 2023. Matches are scheduled in nine cities, including Toulouse in Occitanie.
To heighten the excitement while waiting for kick-off, a train has been criss-crossing the country since July 21. It left Lille and must pass through 49 cities until its terminus in Paris on November 12. And good news for fans of the oval ball, the Rugby World Cup train will stop at Toulouse Matabiau station from Monday 31 October to Tuesday 1 April. It is possible to board for free from noon to 6 p.m. on the first day, and from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on the second day.

“Immersive experience, discovery of qualified teams, journey through the history of rugby…”, are announced. “All the ingredients will be in place to dive, this year, into the heart of the 10th Rugby World Cup in history, and launch the festivities around France 2023! »
One of the highlights of the World Cup train is a virtual reality workshop. It is possible to dive into the opening match scheduled for September 8, 2023 between the XV of France and the All Blacks. Between the entry of the players on the field and the hymns, everything is done to believe it. More conventionally, the Rugby World Cup train also features an exhibition of each team’s shirts as well as the Webb Ellis Trophy.
Moreover, as host city of the Rugby World Cup, Toulouse hosts a Rugby Village on the Place du Capitole. It will be “an opportunity to share moments of conviviality in the spirit of France 2023 and its partners, with sports events open to the general public, in the presence of ambassadors and players. »
