Saint Jean. Three artists put Toulouse in the spotlight
Forty people were present for the opening of the new exhibition on the theme “O Toulouse”, installed at the Mosaïque gallery until November 9th. “On this exhibition, there are 3 painters. Some sculptors had presented themselves but they did not correspond to the theme, one of them presented me with naked and orange women” specifies Olivier Giner, the president of the association .
Josette Rehoboam will be present on November 2 and 4 “I paint a lot of watercolors, it’s my favorite technique, then I do red chalk and sepia but also pastels. I am sensitive to the beauty of landscapes, I like to transcribe monuments who tell a story, as well as animals for their look and the spark of life they have in their eyes. I do and I paint what I like. I did not think of doing exhibitions, it is a friend who offered me to take part in a painting contest in the street; and I won the 1st prize in front of artists of the fine arts” she recalls. Nicole Ruaudel will be there on October 26 and 29, then November 5 “I paint in my kitchen and I have to put everything away to prepare meals, I’m dynamic and it shows in my painting. I’m a romantic (I’m 81 years), my grandmother and my great-uncle also painted. I am trained as a nurse and physiotherapist, I give lessons at the Union accueil”, she specifies.
On October 28 and November 9, place at Patrick Brizolier : “This is the first time that I have exhibited at the Mosaïque, I do watercolors on Toulouse, where I come from, and my work is more focused on the architectural heritage because I am an architect by training. I give lessons at my studio in Tournefeuille.”
