Rugby World Cup 2023 trophy on display for two days
It is a privileged meeting place for rugby fans. Less than a year from the Rugby World Cup 2023of which Toulouse is one of the host cities, the official train of the competition is passing through the Pink City… And with it, the trophy which will be awarded to the winners!
An exhibition train
The entertainment is scheduled for Monday October 31 and Tuesday October 1uh november. At Matabiau station, the Rugby World Cup train in Toulouse will also be open to the public on both days, from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday and from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. On board, Toulouse supporters will be able to discover an exhibition, surprises, as well as the real Webb Ellis Cup, the trophy awarded to the team that wins the World Cup 2023.
“On board, the opening match France – New Zealand will be in the spotlight, and an immersive experience, in virtual reality, will immerse you in the atmosphere of September 8, 2023 at the Stade de France”, specifies the federation. World Rugby.
But the precious sesame will also be visible outside the train’s visiting hours, since a Webb Ellis Cup display is scheduled in the Henri IV courtyard of the Capitol from 7 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. on October 31. A photo booth will be set up so that Toulouse residents can immortalize themselves with this mythical object.

Tuesday 1uh November, the atmosphere should be more festive than usual during the late night Victor-Hugo market, since the trophy will once again be presented there from 8:30 p.m., all in a tricolor atmosphere in the honor of the XV of France. At 9 p.m., a Marseillaise will be sung and the supporters will once again be able to draw the cameras.
The Place du Capitole also gets into rugby time on the occasion of the passage of the World Cup train in Toulouse : Monday, October 31, entertainment will be offered there from 10 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. Photo area, fun stands, inflatable structures and other games promise great moments of conviviality.
As a reminder, the Rugby World Cup 2023 will be held from September 8 to October 28, 2023. As host city, Toulouse will host five matches and serve as the base camp for the Japanese team.
