First integration dialogue invites you to get involved – Liechtenstein
TRIESEN – The government invited migrants to the integration dialogue in Triesen for the first time on Wednesday in order to actively involve migrants in the country’s integration efforts and to improve mutual understanding.
Political participation and helping to shape social processes at community and state level are factors for identification and integration, as the Ministry of Social Affairs states when possible. Strengthening them is one of the goals of the integration strategy that the government passed in spring 2020.
Integration is about the social integration of new and already resident migrants, but also about the question of how Liechtenstein society deals with them: What is the current status of integration? What wishes, challenges and needs do the persons concerned have? In order to pursue these questions, the government would be invited to a dialogue.
50 representatives came
At the invitation of government councilor Manuel Frick, around 50 representatives of different nations, cultures, religions and organizations came together on Wednesday to constructively improve this mutual process and to define further priorities for future integration efforts. Manuel Frick pointed out that it is important to him and the entire government that the dialogue develops into a published instrument. “Only through constant exchange can the needs of the migration society be met,” says Manuel Frick. The government also wants to create the opportunity to improve mutual understanding. After a brief overview of the integration landscape in Liechtenstein, Tanja Cissé moderated the discussion. Based on the fields of action of the integration strategy, the perceived need for action was recorded and areas that are already working well were highlighted. The results of the integration dialogue should flow into the further prioritization of integration efforts.
At the subsequent aperitif, which was designed by the international women’s café to match the occasion, there was the opportunity to continue networking and leading, according to the message.
