Strong season start of the Dornbirner Karatekas in Salzburg – Dornbirn
At the 7th International Junior and Parakarate Cup in Salzburg/Wals on October 15th, Esraarme, Emilia Häfele, Adrian Strbac, Emil Wagner and Lukas Kaufmann were able to secure 2x gold, 2x silver and 1x bronze.
At the beginning Büsra Bacak had to admit defeat with a narrow 3:2 in the first round. The athletes Emil Wagner and Lukas Kaufmann then came into action. After a bye and an injury to his opponent, Lukas is straight into the final. Emil was able to assert himself against all his competitors with his excellent performance and also convinced in the final against Lukas. So it was gold for Emil and silver for Lukas in the Kata Individual Male Cadets competition.
Emilia Häfele finished the morning in her category kata individual U21 and was able to secure 3rd place.
After a short refreshment during the lunch break, it was Büsra Bacak’s turn again in the Kumite individual female U14 +50kg competition. Unfortunately, she had to admit defeat in the fight for the bronze medal.
Then Esraarme showed all her skills and got into the final. Unfortunately, this was the end of the line and Esra won silver in the category Kumite Individual Juniors +/-59kg.
Last but not least, Adrian Strbac came in the Kumite Individual Male Juniors +76kg category. With his speed and tactically planned attacks, he was sure of the gold medal.
A total of 26 clubs with 240 athletes from 5 nations were represented.
