There is also Lucanian food and wine on display at the Fiet “Exhibition of Italian food and tourism” the event dedicated to the tastes, flavors, traditions, tourism and food and wine excellences of the beautiful country of the scene in Venice, in the historic casino site, until tomorrow.
To deal with the aspect related to the sector “Food” for Basilicata there are the chefs of the Lucanian Chefs Regional Union, Battista Guastamacchia and Vito Amatoenlisted for the occasion by the Apt.
The chefs proposed to visitors and buyers, who came from all over the world to take part in the event, the best of Lucanian productions and culinary tradition condensed into different single portions.
On the stand dedicated to Basilicata the chefs prepared:
- a skewer with podolico and ‘lucanica’ caciocavallo,
- a pumpkin and ricotta flan with pecorino cheese fondue and crunchy lucanica, without forgetting the dessert.
In particular, for the sweet tooth, the Lucanian chefs have thought to a finger food version of the famous dry Senise PGI pepper with a dark chocolate glaze accompanied by youn orange marmalade from Tursi and chopped pistachios from Stigliano.
Products prepared with the skill and versatility that has always distinguished Lucanian chefs and that, we can bet, they pushed more than a few visitors to think of Basilicata as a destination to discover and visit.
