Farid answers your weather question: when will storm Armand hit Belgium?
This remnant of the storm is expected to cross the North Sea overnight from Sunday to Monday but also Monday morning with gusts of 75 to 80 km / h by the sea and rather 65 km / h in the center before it weakens Monday after -noon and especially Tuesday. Nothing alarming and a fairly classic depression for autumn in our regions, rather reassuring even given the situation… So no storm in sight here.
And on the rest of the country?
The wind decrees to blow in the morning with 65 to 85 km/h at sea and 50 to 65 km/h in the center or even a little less in the south. On the sky side, it will be calmer but it will be necessary to count on many clouds over the whole country. Generally dry weather and still a little instability on the coast in the cold altitude air.
During the afternoon, the showers will spread to all regions with short but good flushes sometimes punctuated by a thunderclap. No region will be safe and it will be necessary to provide the umbrella but also the jacket despite the mildness (13-17°C). Indeed, the wind will always push up to 55-60 km/h from the south-west sector and we will finally expect in the evening a rarefaction of the showers which will take refuge on the coast. The following night will be calmer except at sea where the rinses will still parade.
