Covid, 3 deaths and 283 new cases in the Florentine

FLORENCE – There are 283 tests and swabs that have been positive in the last 24 hours in the province of Florence, where 3 deaths have also been reported.

In Tuscany, 1,361 new cases of Covid-19 have been traced in the last 24 hours: 297 confirmed with molecular swab and the other 1,064 with rapid test.
1,459 molecular swabs and 9,224 rapid antigen tests were performed: of these 12.7 percent were positive.
The average age of the 1,361 new positives is around 57: 8 percent are under 20, 12 percent between 20 and 39, 31 percent between 40 and 59, 35 percent between 60 and 79 years and 14 percent eighty or more.
In Tuscany there are 50,645 positives, 179 more than the day before.
There are 480 patients hospitalized in the medical area, five more than yesterday.
11 patients admitted to intensive care are stable.
There are six deaths registered today, although only four have occurred in the last few days: a total of 5 men and one woman with an average age of 70. They concern three residents in the municipalities of the metropolitan city, one in the province of Pisa, one in the province of Massa Carrara and a resident who lives outside the region.
There are 476 new reports against ASL Centro, 601 in the North West and 284 in the South East.

Tuscany is confirmed in eleventh place in Italy in terms of overall number of cases recorded since the beginning of the pandemic (between residents and non-residents): about 39,419 per 100,000 inhabitants (the Italian average is 39,372, yesterday’s figure). At the moment, the province of notification with the highest rate is Lucca (40,708 cases per 100,000 inhabitants), followed by Pisa (40,514) and Livorno (40,125). The lowest concentration is found in Prato (with a rate of 36,402).
People in isolation at home, because mild symptoms that cannot be treated in hospital or are symptom-free, are 50,165 (174 more than yesterday, +0.3 percent).
All the people whose recovery has been recorded to date, 1,394,132, are in effect from a viral point of view, certified with a negative swab.
10,924 have died since the beginning of the epidemic: 3,446 in the metropolitan city of Florence, 886 in the province of Prato, 979 in Pistoia, 691 in Massa Carrara, 1,021 in Lucca, 1,229 in Pisa, 819 in Livorno, 704 in Arezzo, 586 in Siena, 406 in Grosseto. 157 people who died on Tuscan soil but who were residents outside the region must be added.
