Cahors. Concert of the music of the paratroopers of Toulouse
More than 400 people came Thursday, October 20 for the concert of the music of the paratroopers of Toulouse. This free concert was offered by the departmental military delegation of Lot and the municipality of Cahors for the benefit of the wounded of the Army and the bereaved families of soldiers who died in combat. It applies to the Valentré space in Cahors. This is the 26th time that this concert has taken place, in the presence this year of the prefect of Lot Mireille Larréde, the mayor of Cahors Jean-Marc Vayssouze-Faure and many personalities.
The band of the Toulouse paratroopers is one of the 6 professional military bands of the Army placed under the command of the bands of the Army. Composed of 50 military musicians, this wind ensemble, with rich and powerful sounds, a role of ambassador of the airborne troops, covers the entire repertoire of band music: classical transcriptions, original works, current music and variety. A collection was organized for the benefit of the wounded and bereaved families of the Army. All donations will be given to the association “Terre Fraternité”. The program was played with a nod to Denmark’s year in Cahors.
