Bischofshofen made people sit up and take notice with the start of the fire brigade
“We got off to a really lightning start,” grinned BSK coach Andreas Fötschl, who was able to celebrate after 16 (!) seconds when he returned to the Salzburg district of Nonntal. The Pongauers won the decisive header duel, Durda didn’t give home “Handsch” Mayerhofer a chance to defend himself with a low shot (1st). “After that, we failed to top it up,” said Fötschl. The blue and yellow, who had fallen into shock after the horror start, needed some time to recover. Towards the end of the first half, the first chances to equalize appear – but nothing countable came out of these actions.

SAK worked hard until the end, BSK kept the flock dry
Similarly, although not quite as quickly as in the first half, the Bischofshofen team scored a quicker goal after the break: Chatzipirpiridis headed the score to make it 0-2 (51′). To the benevolence of Fötschl, laughing up his sleeve: “The smallest player on the field.” The city dwellers didn’t give up though and came back on through Dorfmayr in the 62nd minute. “The goal gave us a boost. In the further episode we were on the trigger”, said SAK trainer Roman Wallner. However, the Nonntal team just didn’t have enough of an equalizer on this football evening. Also because Vidovic is in the way of the crossbar. “The draw might have been possible. Due to the fact that we really pushed in the last half hour, the result is a bit disappointing,” Wallner concluded. Supporter Fötschl said: “We knew that a 2-0 lead was a dangerous result. SAK came up after the connection, but we never lost control of the game.”
