Toulouse. Shows, visits, zombie humour… Where to celebrate Halloween with the family

It’s a tradition that has now invaded France: every October 31, Halloween events break out everywhere. For some years, Toulouse has followed the trend of pumpkins, zombies and other appropriate disguises.
For the 2022 edition, many places will offer rather hardcore and extreme musical evenings. For lovers of family outings, here are some ideas for outings to note in your diary.
Lots of entertainment at the African Safari zoo
African Safari Zoo Plaisance-du-Touch (Haute-Garonne), west of Toulouse, is a regular at Halloween events. From October 22 to November 6, 2022, during the school holiday period, the zoo will be no exception to the rule with a fully decorated park, “Decorate your pumpkin” workshops (Wednesdays and public holidays at 3 p.m. and 4 p.m.), a play on “Disappearing animals” (Saturday October 29 at 2:15 p.m. and 4 p.m.) or a meeting on bats, organized by the National Conservatory of Natural Spaces of Occitanie (Wednesday October 26 ).
Another novelty: African Safari will come with its own witch to feed the animals every afternoon from 3:30 p.m.
The zoo is once again offering a demonstration of cheetah races, every Wednesday, weekend and public holiday at 11 a.m.
Quiz, circus and make-up at Bascala
For the second afterwork of the season, the hall Bruguieres (Haute-Garonne) directed by Marie Leininger hosts, among other things, a quiz on halloween, a circus show, make-up artist a DJ Maxi Music set and sets up a make-up stand. And a little message from Du Bascala: “Don’t hesitate to come in disguise! “.
A “scary” Halloween in Balma
The municipality of Balma (Haute-Garonne), to the east of Toulouse, offers a “frightening” day with, from 2 p.m., on the forecourt of the media library and the Galerie des Artistes, as well as inside the Annexe des Jeunes, Halloween workshops, with make-up and drawing, potion, finalizing the sets, animated film and horror film, costume contest…
From 6 p.m., in the Square Eugène Bonnet, award ceremony for the costume contest and launch of the evening with a cache cache, tales from the crypt and a refreshment bar on site. A evening dj will animate the city until 10 p.m.
On the heights, Vidailhan district, it will be entertainment, wanderings, chills and sweets from 5:30 p.m.
A show for young audiences
At Minimes cultural center (Place du Marché aux Cochons)Cie Créa presents Babaloween, a wicked witch who can no longer sell her evil potions and who hates happiness… It’s Sunday, October 23 and 30 at 10 a.m.
Zombies at Studio 55
She promises, the new comedy from the Toulouse trio! With “Lol of the dead”, a virus has escaped from a laboratory and Toulouse is invaded by zombies. To stop the spread, Cheryl, a secret agent commissioned by the Government (Melissa Billard) uses Pac-Man, a famous hacker (Fred Minuet) to find an antidote. Locked in a cinema, they have to work with Ghost, bald and conspiratorial (Pat Borg)…
Five performances are scheduled at Studio 55: Friday October 21 (8:30 p.m.), Saturday October 22 (9 p.m.), Saturday October 29 (9 p.m.), Monday October 31 (8:30 p.m.) and Friday November 4 (8:30 p.m.).
