Aci Genova teaches safe driving lessons to 150 students
(ANSA) – GENOA, OCTOBER 21 – More than 150 students from the last years of Genoese high schools participated in the Aci Driving Experience, the event organized by the Automobile Club Genova and Aci Ready2Go in collaboration with the Traffic Police and 118 Liguria to raise awareness young people to respect the rules of the Highway Code and to be aware of correct driving behavior.
The students of the first schools involved, the Immacolatine institute, the D’Oria and Da Vinci high schools, followed a theoretical course on the terrace of the Automobile Club Genova headquarters, where the fundamental concepts of safe driving useful for preventing a road accident: starting from compliance with speed limits, active and passive safety, up to the need to always maintain maximum concentration at the wheel.
The students were able to try their hand at driving the new ‘Ready2Go’ virtual reality driving simulator present in the over 200 driving schools of the Aci network, through which the student wearing a VR viewer experiences the sensation of being inside the passenger compartment of the ‘ car.
The practical part began in Piazzale Kennedy with the illustration of the correct dynamic driving position, and then tackled the slalom, the use of the poor Ab device and some exercises on a grip surface with obstacle avoidance.
