German Friends of the Universities in Innsbruck eV supports outstanding students in their professional and academic development | Three MCI students convince the jury
During the festive framework of the annual meeting of the German Friends of the Universities in Innsbruck (DFK), the renowned DFK scholarship award awarded to students of the Entrepreneurial School®, the Leopold-Franzens-University Innsbruck (LFU) and the Medical University of Innsbruck. Three MCI students were able to stand out from 30 submissions with their above-average personal and academic achievements as well as ambitious plans for the future and cause the coveted sponsorship award.
Mateus Enzenberg, BSc, project employee at the MCI and master’s student of the MCI course “Medical Technologies”, would like to use the award to further develop his projects in the field of medical technology. His current developments include a rehabilitation training device and a device used to prevent drowning accidents in children.
Tobias Mueller is a student of the MCI bachelor’s program “Digital Business & Software Engineering” and is particularly interested in artificial intelligence and deep learning in image processing. He would like to invest the DFK sponsorship award in his start-up, which is working on the development of a fully electric off-road motorcycle.
Helena Stanger, BA, Nonprofit, Social and Health Management at MCI, is a freelance event manager and founder of Growin’, an initiative for the development of sustainable ideas by apprentices. She is aiming for a master’s degree at HEC Paris or NOVA SBE in Lisbon in the field of “Sustainability & Social Innovation” and would like to use the study award to finance her studies.
At the Leopold-Franzens-University Innsbruck the sponsorship prizes went to Alex Fischer, Anna Siebenbrunner and Katharina Föger, at the Medical University Innsbruck to Stefan Fuchs, Marc Kalenka and Viktor Lang.
At the German circle of friends is an association of respected personalities from business, science, society and politics. The aim of the DFK is to support the universities in Innsbruck, including the MCI and their students, both morally and materially, to promote the partnership between these universities, to network their graduates with industry and to maintain friendly relationships with its members.
