The port community of Bilbao meets in Madrid with shippers and logistics operators to present the latest developments in multimodal logistics services
UniportBilbaoThe Port of Bilbao cluster is organizing this Thursday, October 20, two business meetings with shippers and logistics operators from the Madrid area, with the aim of transmitting the latest news and competitive advantages for their logistics and commercial needs.
Both encounters will take place in space LOOP21. The first of them is aimed at chargers, and will take place between 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. The second, which will take place between 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., is aimed at logistics operators, shipping companies and road transport companies and will include the collaboration of ATEIA Madrid.
The Madrid area is, by volume of tons, the main market for the port of Bilbao after the Basque Country, where multimodality (road-rail-sea) is a great ally.
In the words of president of UniportBilbao, F. Jaber Bringas, “the port community of Bilbao has a wide, varied and, at the same time, specialized offer of logistics-port services for all kinds of goods and ships. This is completed with a high level of training of our professionals and good connectivity both by road and by rail”.
Madrid concentrates important manufacturers and shippers and its logistics operators “are very active and knowledgeable about our port”, confirms Jaber Bringas. “During the day, both in the morning and in the afternoon, we will strengthen our relations and try to show them the dynamism of our port and our companies hand in hand with those who, on this occasion, act as spokespersons for the Bilbao port delegation”.
