The American lobbyist Tony Podesta and the director of the Museum of Modern Art in Moscow Vasiliy Tsereteli are in Bulgaria for the exhibition of the graphic artist Lyudmil Georgiev.
They were part of an excellent closed-door tour of private international collectors and were the first to see the print exhibition.
Podesta has been one of the connoisseurs of Bulgarian graphic art for years and has bought works by our authors more than once.
Portuguese entrepreneur and collector Miguel Macedo Basto de Carvalho and precious metals dealer and collector’s collector Philip Platt also supported the private tour.
Even before the rest of the guests got to Georgiev’s work, the Acting Minister of Culture Prof. Velislav Minekov also looked at the graphics.
This is the third solo exhibition of the graphic. It is called “My Gardens” and collects the latest creative developments of Ludmil Georgiev. The graphic exposition personifies his understanding of order and man’s eternal need for fellow citizens. In his graphics, the artist is in opposition to the feeling of unprecedented disorder and looking for his gardens.
“My Gardens” is on display in the Sredets Gallery of the Ministry of Culture from today until October 31.
