Toulouse-Blagnac airport was the scene of two very, very important seizures of narcotics, with blows of several kilos. And that in just a few days.
20 kilos on October 3
As you told Toulouse news, 20 pounds of cocaine packaged in 17 packets wrapped in tape were found in the suitcase of a traveler coming from Paris on October 3. Aged 26, she was a passenger with Air Caraïbes, and disembarked from a flight between Cayenne and the Pink City, after transiting through the capital. His luggage concerns the customs officers, rightly: it is the equivalent of one million euros which is then intercepted. “This is a record seizure of cocaine powder transported in luggage at Toulouse-Blagnac airport,” commented Toulouse customs.
Already 5 kilos at the end of September
But this seizure was not the only one to mark the beginning of autumn in the airport enclosure of the fourth city of France.
You have to go back to September 27, 2022, day during which the customs officers check a Brazilian passenger, coming from Sao Paulo. If his correspondence by Amsterdam, in the Netherlands, took place without pitfalls, it will not have the same success once the foot poses in Toulouse.
Three glass bottles of alcohol containing liquid cocaine are seized, corresponding to at a total weight of 5 kilos. In other words, a new important interception, a few days before that of October 3.
Other important seizures in the region
But the airport was not the only one affected by these cases. In the Occitanie region, the Millau customs officers intercepted a truck set coming from Morocco on September 21, 2022: 120 kg of cannabis pollen are discovered. The next day, this service gets its hands on 327 kilos of the same product, before entering 190 kg of manufactured tobacco, on October 6, 2022.
