Like energy and public service employees, some employees of the A320 assembly line in Toulouse were on strike on Tuesday, October 18 to demand better wages. They are asking for a 10% increase.
This Tuesday of national mobilization also impacted Airbus in Toulouse. Some employees of the assembly line of the A320 were on strike today, to demand a wage increase (+ 10%). Mobilized at the call of the CGT, the strikers highlight “galloping inflation and the rebalancing of wages according to experience”.
They are also asking for a 10% increase in certain bonuses, the hiring of temporary workers and external staff “to cope with increases in production rates”.
The management of the Airbus group confirms “that a small number of its employees are on strike following the call for mobilization of the CGT”, this Tuesday, October 18. The aircraft manufacturer specifies that “this movement has no impact on the group’s production activities”.
Concerning the requests for salary increases, Airbus explains that the group “continues to favor the dialogue which has already taken concrete form in a salary agreement relating to a 6.8% increase over two years, for all the employees of the group in France.
