A day of interprofessional strike takes place this Tuesday, October 18 in Toulouse, as on the whole of the national territory, following the call launched by several unions to demand wage increases in order to be able to cope with inflation. Following the call of several unions, including the CGT, Force Ouvrière (FO) and the SNES-FSU, a day of interprofessional strike instead this Tuesday, October 18 in Toulouse, as in the whole of Occitania and more broadly, of the national territory. This day of demonstration is organized in particular to demand salary increases in order to cope with inflation, but also “against the pension reform” carried out by the government, as explained by the CGT Éduc’Action.
A demonstration will therefore be held today in the streets of Toulouse. the departure of the procession is scheduled for 2 p.m. at the War memorial, at the top of the François Verdier alleys. Then the demonstrators will take the direction of Place Arnaud Bernard. Traffic will therefore be disrupted in this area during the afternoon.
Diverted buses in Toulouse city center
For its part, Tisséo announces that the downtown shuttle will not be circular this Tuesday, October 18 from 2 p.m., time of departure of the event. Similarly, the shuttle that connects the center of the Pink City to Toulouse-Blagnac airport will be diverted. It will not serve the stops Jean Jaurès, Jeanne d’Arc and Compans-Cafarrelli. Bus lines L1, L8, L9, 14, 15, 23, 29, 39 and 70 will also be deflected. The list of all non-served stops is available on the Tisseo website. A minimum reception service for students
According to information reported by the Dispatch from the Souththe Town Hall of Toulouse is setting up a minimum reception service for kindergarten students whose schools are closed this Tuesday, October 18.
