Two women arrested with five loaded firearms during a traffic check
Two women in their twenties were arrested in Toulouse (Haute-Garonne) on the night of Friday to Saturday following a road check in the Bellefontaine district informed
News17. In their vehicle, the police officers of the anti-crime brigade (BAC) discovered five approved and loaded handguns, according to a source close to the investigation. The two suspects were taken into custody and the judicial police were in charge of the investigation.
BAC police officers were on patrol around midnight when they saw this car driving at full speed on André-Maurois street. The driver stopped at the request of law enforcement. The latter and her passenger had no identity document, nor the vehicle registration document.
Fifty rounds of ammunition
While checking the contents of the trunk, the officials discovered firearms: two semi-automatic 9 mm caliber pistols from Sig Sauer and Česká Zbrojovka, two 357 magnum and .38 Special Smith & Wesson revolvers, as well as a Remington caliber .45 ACP pistol. About fifty munitions were also found. Searches took place at the homes of the two women.
Investigators will have to determine the origin of these ready-to-use weapons as well as the reason why these two women were transporting them. “This case is still ongoing”we clarified the Toulouse prosecutor’s office this Monday afternoon, without saying more.
