Toulouse. The Race of Lights is back
As since 2010, the Course des Lumières will be well and truly back to light up the night against illness and for all the sick. More than 20,000 participants are expected to carry a message of hope and become a “bearer of light”.
The concept ? Equipped with a luminous object, the participants light up the night against disease, during a solidarity walk and run. On the program, a friendly gathering and a wonderful moment of intergenerational sharing.
Who says new year, says new! This year, in addition to the traditional stages in Paris (19/11), Toulouse (26/11), Lyon (03/12) and Marseille (10/12), our light bearers will also have an appointment in Bordeaux (26 /11).
Since its launch, more than one million euros have been donated to the charitable partners of the Course des Lumières. By participating, each person brings their support, either through a donation made at the time of registration, or by collecting donations in parallel with their registration.
Recovering donations make it possible to finance research, prevention or patient support projects, initiated by the partners of the Course des Lumières with in particular: the Institut Curie in Paris, the Toulouse Cancer Health Foundation in Toulouse, the French Federation Diabetics in Lyon, the CHU Bordeaux in Bordeaux and the Alzheimer Research Foundation in Marseille.
Families, friends and colleagues meet outside for a moment filled with emotions. Formats accessible to all, an original concept, the Course des Lumières is ideal to meet at the end of the year. Whether as a family to participate in the night walk with your children or with friends to run around a person in remission or to honor the memory of a loved one.
