The Aveyronnais of Toulouse were served “like in the country” at the Café Authié
Act 3 of the reunion in 2022 took place last Wednesday at the Villefranchois Olivier Guinou with more than 90 people at the party.
Marjorie Dalbin had the idea just over a year ago. Without any regrets. “I did well! Rejoices the person concerned. It’s great to see so many people so excited. There is something strong there, with a communicative flame. We have certainly found a core, present at all appointment, but we have seen a majority of new faces at each edition”.
Forge links between expatriates
A little less than twelve months ago, the former footballer from Rodez launched a pétanque aperitif on the Aveyron Worldwide group, a network created in 2014 by Stéphane Rouquette and Christophe Palous, in order to forge links between expatriates (in France or abroad). “This invitation had generated a lot of positive feedback and had thus turned into a giant reunion at the end of March”, recalls the commercial director at Carrefour.
While 96 Aveyronnais from Toulouse had remade the world and opened the souvenir drawer, at the restaurant Les Chimères, in Saint-Cyprien, at the Réquistanaise Manon Laur, it was impossible for the participants to escape the onset of addiction: they found themselves , at the end of June, at the Turbine guinguette at Bazacle. Never two without three ? Shit!
The funny ladies Virginie Granier, Marjorie Dalbin, Laurence Destruel (president of the Amicale des Aveyronnais de Toulouse et de Haute-Garonne) and Christina Durand took up the challenge. They put the cover back with a third evening served last Wednesday at the Villefranchois Olivier Guinou, owner of the Café Authié, place Dupuy, opposite the Halle aux grains. They obviously did well since more than 90 people pushed the doors of the oldest establishment in the Pink City, dating from 1882. And none regretted the move, as long as this initiative was unanimous. With a “red carpet” reception like the Cannes Film Festival.
See you on January 21, 2023
Appreciating the tastings offered by Stéphane Bernatas, with 2 Fonts, the new red cuvée (Cabernet, Sauvignon and 10% Merlot), and Regarde le silence en blanc (Meauzac), from the Aude estate worked by the two Aveyron brothers, and by Cédric Da Costa Faro, with his “Lucifèves de l’Aubrac”, Virginie Granier set the scene: “The mayonnaise took. We sent cohesion and the pleasure of the actors of these evenings to exchange”. She is also happy with the “main operation in hand” of the Aveyron Worldwide group and the Toulouse friendly.
A feeling shared by Laurence Destruel: “There is a strong Aveyron identity and we feel it strongly during these gatherings. It’s like a return to basics, under the sign of conviviality”. The reactions of the participants were in this direction. Selected pieces: “Meetings in a friendly atmosphere, also marked by the accent of the country. The people of Aveyron, an astonishing community!”, “Seeing friends from Aveyron again or meeting new ones is all the richness of such a moment”, “Another beautiful evening, before exceeding the 100 mark”.
As they left, the guests had only four words in their mouths: “When will we meet again?”. The answer is already known: Saturday January 21, 2023. The fourth meeting of the Aveyronnais of Toulouse will, in fact, be coupled with the musical evening orchestrated by the friendly interpreted by Laurence Destruel, and organized in hall 8 of the Parc des expositions. write it down in capital letters in your diary…
