B&B Hotels strengthens in Île-de-France, a hotel in Luxembourg in 2025
Vast urban project which already hosts large companies such as PWC, Intesa San Paolo, Deloitte and IWG, the world leader in shared workplaces, the Cloche d’Or, in Luxembourg, will continue its development with a hotel under the B&B Hotels brand. Expected in the first half of 2025, the establishment will complete the contemporary development of this district with a sustainable spirit. Launched about twenty years ago, the Cloche d’Or began with the arrival of businesses and a large shopping center, supplemented by new residential buildings. By green spaces too, in particular the Ban de Gasperich park, expected next year and which will be the largest park in the Luxembourg capital, and soft mobility solutions, the arrival of the tramway also being planned for 2023, at the end of year.
It is within this framework that Prorobe and Nextensa, respectively property promoter and developer in the district, have entered into a 20-year rental agreement with B&B Hotels to develop a hotel with 150 rooms within three years. For the designer, a call was made to the local architectural firm Moreno, already at work in the district with the headquarters of Intesa San Paolo, Deloitte and Alter Domus. Hence a hotel that will benefit with an architectural gesture » announces itself as « unique in the industry“.
For the occasion, the economy brand will offer a hotel with a higher positioning, ” three star superior“. Rising on seven floors, with parking in the basement, the hotel will have on the ground floor a bar/lounge, a breakfast room and a meeting room, all extended by a large private terrace.
This development will mark the first establishment of B&B in Luxembourg, thus participating in the European expansion of the brand. After conquering the Netherlands and Hungary, but also Brazil last year, the channel is now present in 14 countries, with nearly 660 hotels and just over 60,000 rooms. However, if B&B had a new opening in Belgium this year, in Hasselt, it is especially in France that the brand has developed recently, particularly in the Paris region.
The European expansion of B&B also passes through France
The channel now counts 59 hotels in Ile-de-France with the inauguration in mid-September of the B&B Paris Ivry Quai de Seine. With 175 rooms, this hotel at the gates of Paris is easily accessible via metro line 14 and offers its customers the new design and urban concept of the hotel chain. At the same time, another B&B, that of Paris Nord Gonesse Expo Park, has been renovated to offer its customers this contemporary atmosphere. This 105-room hotel is ideal for business travelers and is close to both Roissy CDG airport and the Villepinte exhibition center.
” This new opening in Ivry and the integration into Gonesse reinforce B&B Hotels in strategic and rapidly developing geographical areas of Ile de France.“said Bruno Anelli, IDF Center Region Director and Camille Squillari, IDF Center Network Manager – B&B HOTELS France. Earlier in the year, the brand also moved to Argenteuilnear the head office of Safran Transmission Systèmes and a Dassault Aviation center, and Rosny in the woodswith a 100-room establishment located equidistant from the two Parisian airports and connected to the capital by the RER E.
Another development in the Paris region, B&B has also opened a hotel in Creteil, at the foot of metro line 8 and easily accessible from Paris-Orly airport. Its 91 rooms also complete the capacity to accommodate sports teams coming to the neighboring Maison du Handball, but also residential seminars. Indeed, this place belonging to the sports federation also plays the card of corporate meetings with an auditorium, 11 meeting rooms and three restaurants, in addition to a four-star hotel with 72 rooms.
However, the Breton tropism of the group founded in Brest thirty years ago has not been denied either in 2022 with a new hotel handed over to Rennes at the beginning of the summer, its fifth in the agglomeration. Ideally located for business travellers, opposite the Parc des Expositions, five minutes from the airport and 15 minutes from the city centre, the B&B Rennes Parc Expo Airport offers 93 rooms, some of which can accommodate groups of up to 6 people.
Finally, the chain’s French offer has also developed with a 31st hotel in the Hauts de France region, the B&B Lille Lillenium Eurasante. Near the Lillenium shopping center, but also the University Hospital Center and the Eurasanté centre, the establishment, made up of 141 rooms, also offers companies two seminar rooms for meetings and training.
