Weather: 27C° in Toulouse, 25C° in Strasbourg, 28C° in Bordeaux… summer temperatures expected for this week
According to the forecasts of Météo-France and La Chaîne Météo, the coming week will be marked by summer temperatures throughout the country and more particularly in the South-West.
This is good news for your electricity bill…this week you won’t need to turn on your heating since the cold has not decided to settle in France. You may have noticed this weekend that your thermometer was showing particularly high temperatures for the season, and well, it’s not about to end.
Temperatures will be high until Friday according to Météo France expenditure. With maximums at 20°C in Lille on the Channel coast and 25°C in Tours north of the Loire. On the southwest side, maximum temperatures will reach 25 to 28°C. In Bordeaux it will be 28°C and to Toulouse 27°Cwith possible peaks at 30°C in the interior of Aquitaine or at the foot of the Pyrenees.
“It will be very mild next week, even hot from the south-west to the center-east, with maximums above 25°C for several consecutive days” explains meteorologist Gilles Matricon for La Chaîne Météo.
The heat settles permanently in the south-west of the country
Temperatures will show particularly high levels for the season, particularly in the Southwest where temperatures will be close to the heat records for mid-October. On the national side, we will be between 6 and 7°C above normal for the season.
According to François Gourand, forecaster for Météo France interviewed by our colleagues from France 2, “temperature records will probably not be beaten but the heat will settle at least until next Friday in the south of the country”.

… But this rise promises to be even more remarkable in terms of its duration.
