Toulouse: several measures to deal with the energy crisis
Fewer subways at off-peak hours
Faced with the energy crisis, the town hall of Toulouse and Toulouse Métropole have announced new measures to reduce energy consumption this winter. This sobriety plan provides in particular, from the transition to winter time, a slight drop in metro frequency at off-peak hours. For its part, Téléo will close earlier. It also lists savings regarding public lighting, which will be off from midnight from the end of the month. Places of passage, such as the historic center, the station Matabiauand Place Abbal in particular, will remain lit. Light fixtures during the Christmas period will also be impacted. All light garlands, installed over a shortened period of two weeks, will be extinguished at 10 p.m.

Among other measures, the drop in mercury in public and administrative buildings. Heating will be set to 19° in community buildings, including schools (except nurseries and nursing homes). In the gymnasiums, the temperature will be maintained at 15° and in the swimming pools, the temperature will be lowered by 1°, that of the air by 2°.
