Rome: thefts and robberies, eleven arrests in a few hours
Pickpockets on public transport or in the street, thefts in shopping centers: predatory crimes are destined in Rome and in a few hours eleven people were arrested by the police. The first to end up in handcuffs was a 29-year-old Romanian who stole the phone from a 36-year-old woman aboard a bus. The answer, however, noticed the theft and she answered her cell phone back: in all the answer the thief pushed her out of the bus and a struggle ensued. The woman recovered the stolen goods but the robber managed to escape. Unfortunately for him, however, a passer-by who witnessed the scene chased him and in the meantime the policemen came to block him. Now the 29-year-old is in custody in prison.
In due course, Romanians aged 30 and 36, on the other hand, distracted an elderly couple strolling around Saint John: while one was asking for information, the other was stealing wallets. Their escape, however, was arrested by the police who noticed the suspicious movements, chased them and stopped them: the thieves had got rid of the loot by throwing it under a parked car, but could not escape arrest. Similitude scene, shortly after, in via Giovanni De Agostini, al Pigneto, where a 23-year-old Moroccan was arrested who had yanked a foreigner to steal her backpack and phone. The location of the cell phone, however, betrayed the thief who was thus arrested.
There are three accomplices who had organized a plan to rob the shops of a shopping center in Roman area: these are two men and a woman, all Peruvians and aged between 29 and 34 years. One of the men stayed outside to make the stake, while the two accomplices entered the shops and removed goods. The police surprised them in a sporting goods shop: at the entrance the bag was empty, at the exit it was swollen. Stopped for a check, the three hid three pairs of shoes, worth around 200 euros, with the anti-theft plates still attached. The three ended up in handcuffs. Same fate for an Italian and a Senegalese of 19 22 who had and of stealing clothes in a shopping center in Viale dell’Oceano at Eur. At the Celio, however, the agents arrested two surprised Georgians aged 33 and 34, equipped with force and cutter, trying to force the lock of the door of a building.
