Notice to motorists, the Grand Mare tunnel of Rouen will be closed nights from Monday October 17 to Friday October 21from 8:30 p.m. to 6 a.m., in the direction of traffic from Rouen towards Abbeville.
This closure occurs “due to the modernization works of the tunnel”, specifies the Interdepartmental Directorate of North-West Roads (DIRNO).
Diversions in place
“Traffic is diverted by the permanently signaled route S1 which uses the RD43A, RD243A and RD443”, details a press release. Barring exceptions, heavy goods vehicles over 3.5 tonnes are prohibited on this route from 8:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. They will therefore have to follow the detour marked “S3”.
Traffic will be normal in the tunnel, in the opposite direction, towards Rouen.
