Refusal to comply near Toulouse: after a chase with the gendarmes, the driver is arrested at his home
A motorist, apparently in good standing, refused to submit to a police check on October 14. The soldiers chased him. He gave them a hard time. To the point that they had to let go before arresting him the next day at his home in Léguevin (31).
The affair with rather nebulous contours dates back to the night of October 13 to 14. Soldiers from the surveillance and intervention platoon of the Colomiers gendarmerie carry out a patrol in Pibrac. They notice a vehicle that is moving a bit strangely. This tickles their curiosity. By observing it a little closer, they hear the driver purr his engine and accelerate suddenly several times. They follow him at a reasonable distance to Colomiers. The driver suddenly drives at breakneck speed. The gendarmes know the place very well, they manage to block it in a small street. They activate the warning lights, stand in front of the fleeing vehicle.
The driver does not cure and leaves with a bang. A chase ensued in which this 31-year-old man multiplied traffic violations. He manages to drive to La Salvetat-Saint-Gilles. The gendarmes manage to corner him in one place. Taking all the risks, the motorist hit the left front part of the police vehicle and fled. The soldiers let him slip away and showed up at his home in Léguevin the next morning. Placed in police custody, he does not give any explanation on the reasons which led him to flee the gendarmes.
The car belonged to him and all his papers were in order. Had he consumed alcohol? Perhaps he will explain himself to the judges of the Toulouse criminal court. He is summoned this Monday as part of the immediate comparison procedure.
