Volotea will connect Bilbao with Rome from April twice a week
Volotea airline will connect from next April Bilbao with Rome with a frequency of two weekly flights.
As reported by the company on Friday, It is an exclusive routewhich will connect the airport Fiumicino (Rome) with Bilbao.
The new connection will start operating next april and offers around 25,000 seats per year. The airline plans to offer almost 160 flights over the next year in this new connection.
Volotea has recorded that the new route joins the five international destinations offered by the company from Bilbao airport (Cagliari, Naples, Venice, Porto and Athens) and the eight national connections (to Coruña, Alicante, Ibiza, Mallorca, Menorca, Málaga, Seville and Valencia).
The company connects Rome with three routes to France (Strasbourg, Lille and Nantes) and two to Italy (Cagliari and Olbia). As of April, Bilbao will be added as the first connection to Spain.
According to Volotea’s Director General of Strategy, Gabriel Schmilovich, the new route demonstrates the “firm commitment” of the airline with the market in Euskadi.
