Toulouse. A rowing competition “unique in Europe” will take place on the Garonne this weekend

The Garona Cup, created in 2013 in Toulouse, is a rowing regatta that will take place on the Garonne between the crews of the largest schools in the city (Enac, Supaéro, INPT, IPSA, National Veterinary School) and a large company, in this case the banking group CIC.
“Unique in Europe”
In all, 60 rowers will take part in the Garonne Cup, with a mix for each crew (4 girls and 4 boys). “By the diversity of its crews, the Garona Cup is unique in Europe”, indicates the organizers.
Each crew will perform three courses of 400 meters. Duels between the Pont Neuf and the Pont Saint-Pierre which were to be lively and spectacular, with young people who will go all the way! At the end: the conquest of the Rame Rose and the title of “King of Garonne” for a year.
With the Toulouse Cancer Health Foundation as sponsor
The 9e edition will take place this Saturday, October 15, from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Sponsored by the Toulouse Cancer Health Foundation, the Garona Cup has gradually established itself as a major October event in the Pink City. The high point of the event took place in 2016, with the participation of the prestigious English University of Oxford.
