Bilbao is presented in Korea as a city of values
Bilbao is participating inVII World Summit of the International Network of Cities and Local Governments (UCLG) being held in Daejeon (South Korea)where local international leaders from politics, civil society or research meet bunder the motto Local and regional governments advance at the same heartbeat.
As indicated yesterday, Wednesday, by municipal sources, the Congress began yesterday, Wednesday, and dDuring three days it will address some of the main global challengess, among others, human rights or ecological and digital transformations, with the Sustainable Development Goals as the crosscutting axis of any policy or action.
The Councilor for Citizen Attention and Participation and International, Oihane Agirregoitia will participate in four of the sessions. Specifically, in the analysis of the strategies and advances of Bilbao as a smart city, it will also address digitization from the perspective of human rights, to establish those necessary practices that make digital rights a reality and will also participate in the reflection on the importance of cities in the use of technology in accordance with the 2030 Agenda.
Among the participating cities are the French Bordeaux and Lyon, Geneva (Switzerland), Sao Paulo (Brazil), the cities of the Netherlands Utrecht and The Hague (Netherlands), Montevideo (Uruguay), Bogotá (Colombia), Rome (Italy ) ), Xián (China) or Klang (Malaysia), among others.
Agirregoitia will share sessions and debate tables with representatives of important international entities, such as UN-Habitat-NY, the World Economic Forum or the Coalition of Cities for Digital Rights based in Amsterdam.
