Toulouse. On a beer toast at the Trinque Festival
The Trinque Festival was invited last week to around forty bars in Toulouse. The first edition of the event around beer and spirits found its audience and ended with great fanfare this weekend. “It’s an opportunity to tell brewers that we like their beers, or what we like less,” says Sabine. The forty-something, a hoppy drink lover, was at the V & B bar in Compans last Thursday evening. “To taste La Superbe beers”. Because this Basque brewery was represented in Toulouse by Charles Gonzalez, as part of the Trinque Festival. “We responded to this first edition to share our know-how, meet those who drink our beers and those who sell them,” explains the salesperson.
The unifying concept for brewers and consumers
Inaugurated last Tuesday, the concept of the Trinque Festival is to bring together brewers and consumers around tastings. Each bar received one or two marks per night. “We want to promote more artisanal and local beers, make them more popular and accessible”, develops Julien Soudet, co-organizer of the festival. From Wednesday to Friday, more than 40 brewers attended. And this, also for the visibility that they have gained economically. “Toulouse is a market with great potential for craft beers, non-traditional beers which are more popular,” said Charles Gonzalez. Throughout the weekend, all the hop professionals gathered at the MIN to close this Trinque Festival together before starting the Octobière.
