New sticker to go to Rouen: “An unfair measure for many inhabitants of the Pays de Bray”

Since September 1, traffic restrictions have been put in place in the Metropolis of Rouen (Seine Maritime).
Indeed, the news ZFE-m (Low emission zone – mobility) excluding certain vehicles in 13 municipalities in the Rouen conurbation.
For the two departmental advisers, Armelle Biloquet and Nicolas-Bertrand, it is detrimental for a certain number of inhabitants of the Pays de Bray. And it’s unbearable:
When some families are already paying for accommodation so that their children can study in Rouen, it is not easy, if not impossible, to buy them a recent car as well. So that poses a real problem. But it’s also true for people who have to go to Rouen punctually, for a medical appointment, to see a show or other.
An opinion shared by many inhabitants of the Country of Braylike Rene:
It’s a lack of respect towards people who for the most part cannot afford to change vehicles, when they are often forced to go to Rouen.
“The risk of having to pay a ticket”
Indeed, any owner of a vehicle that does not correspond to the standards in force risks a fine of 135 € if he drives or only passes through the areas concerned.
If you have family in this area, you take the risk of having to pay a ticket if you want to go see it. Ditto for families who want to go to the Saint-Romain fair to have a good day, for example. Finally, there are also all the Brayons and all the Brayonnes who work in the Metropolis and who cannot necessarily change cars, nor take public transport, of which we cannot say that there are very many of them.
The two elected officials also think of the companies which have to deliver to Rouen and the surrounding area and whose vehicle does not correspond to the criteria of the new sticker.
There is no question that the Pays de Bray is the attic or the belly of the Metropolis and that we are told: rural people, stay at home.
It is to denounce this “unjust measure”that the two elected officials wrote this letter which, however, should have no impact on the decision taken by their counterparts in the Rouen Metropolis.
