An encouraging record for the Elite Group against Lille and the Cercle
Left to face LOSC and Cercle Bruges at the start of the week, the Elite Group won this series of two friendly matches with a record of one victory and one defeat. Back to these encounters.
Traveling to the North of France and Belgium at the start of the week, Damien Perrinelle’s men faced Lille as well as Cercle Bruges in friendly matches. Balance sheet? A victory and a defeat for Béchir Yacoub’s teammates.
Offensive festival against Lille…
For the first of two meetings, the residents of La Diagonale opposed LOSC this Monday, October 10 (4:30 p.m.). And the least we can say is that the meeting against the young Mastiffs was prolific.
A few weeks after the fireworks against Nordsjaelland (6-4), the band of Enzo Baglieri – author of a double – again made the powder speak! Unfortunately, that was not enough to leave with victory in their pocket, since Lille won 5-4 after a close game at Domaine de Luchin.
Monday 10 October, Domaine de Luchin
Lille OSC II 5-4 AS Monaco II
Scorers: Baglieri x2, Platret and Ben Seghir for AS Monaco
…And a clean sheet against Cercle Brugge
The next day, this Tuesday, October 11, the Elite Group crossed the border to go to Belgium, to face there at 3 p.m. the young shoots of Cercle Bruges, club cousin of AS Monaco.
On the lawn of the Jan Breydel Stadium, the Red and Whites were diligent against the Belgians, and won 2-0 thanks to goals from Edan Diop – who had already scored against RC Grasse in a friendly match – and Béchir Yacoub, also a scorer with the U19s a few weeks ago against Istres. What to prepare well before the next deadlines, and in particular the Al Abtal Cup, whose first meeting against the Saudis of the White Falcons is scheduled for November 2. Dage!
Tuesday 11 October, Jan Breydel Stadium
Cercle Brugge II 0-2 AS Monaco II
Scorers: Diop and Yacoub for AS Monaco
