José Pedro Pinto on the podium of the Portuguese Cup
The young Algarve driver José Pedro Pinto secured last weekend, at the Kartódromo Internacional de Braga, the second place in the Portuguese Karting Cup, in the Cadet 4T category, being the second podium followed by the promising young driver from Quarteira in the most emblematic national Karting competition, thus continuing to add successes in his still short racing career.
José Pedro Pinto was one of the highlights of Cadet 4 2022, at that time it was his first season without competition Karting, having spent the weekend, having been the full media featured, in the Portuguese Cup Taça de Portugal Karting, T. for several decades the main event of the sport in Portugal.
Making his debut for the Junior Racing Team, the driver from the city of quarteira started by being fourth and then formed the qualifying heats, a position he repeated in the Pre-Final.
With used tyres, José Pedro Pinto went to a Final determined to repeat the podium he had won in the 2021 Portuguese Karting Cup, an objective he achieved, finishing in a meritorious 2nd place, just behind the experienced Guilherme Morgado.
“I felt good in the new team and I was fast in most races. In the Final riders who were able to get to second place, but there weren’t many that I focused on last place. I was very happy, because this year I won again and now I’m back on the podium of the Portuguese Karting Cup”said José Pedro Pinto at the end of the race.
It should be remembered that in the previous one, it proved that the pilot was the victim of several touches of touches, having therefore the ability to fly that the young man has already demonstrated that he has to do on the track in clean races.
Now, for the season, the young and promising Algarve driver will compete in the fifth and final race of the Portuguese Rotax Championship, which will take place on October 22 and 23, at Kartódromo Internacional do Algarve, in Portimão.
