Almost a year ago, in November 2021, Pascal Mazuremember of the AAC Petit-Couronne, near Rouen (Seine Maritime), became European vice-champion of natural bodybuilding. The Rouennais is preparing this time to defend the colors of France at the world championships in Prague on November 18 and 19.
A drastic routine
It all started in front of the family television, when he was 13 and that he saw on the screen the musculature by Arnold Schwarzenegger. “I told my father that one day I would be like him,” he recalls. It was finally when he was 21, after returning from his military service, that Pascal Mazure began to sculpt his body. The beginning of 20 years of daily training in search of “the ideal physique, the V-cut bust, the slim waist and the shapely thighs”.
Nothing is left to chance, each food he swallows is lightly weighed, no gap, no alcohol, no cigarette, 1h30 of training six days a week. The objective, the ideal height-weight ratio, 78 kg for 1.78m. All in a natural way. “I am only responsible for what I eat,” says Pascal Mazure. No steroids.
The 41-year-old Rouennais will therefore soon fly to Prague in the hope of bringing back a medal for France. A simple step, since he wants to become “the oldest active competitor”. So we haven’t finished hearing about him.
