Toulouse. “Fake news, information that does not go well” at the Quai des Savoirs
In partnership with the Colomiers comic book festival, the Quai des Savoirs offers to go further in the theme of Fake news and critical thinking, during an unprecedented meeting.
Meeting those who make fake news and those who believe it, Doan Bui, journalist at the Obs, and Leslie Plée, cartoonist, we showed that we are constantly exposed to an alternative reality.
Doan Bui is a senior reporter at the Obs and a writer. She won the Albert Londres Prize in 2013. She is the scriptwriter of two documentary comics with Leslie Plée: “What is a terrorist? » and « Fake News, the information which does not go round. »
Leslie Plée is a comic strip author. She trained at the École Estienne, from which she graduated in 2003. She has published a dozen comic strips, including autobiographical stories such as “Alive to me, you will never have breaks”. In 2019 and then in 2021, she partnered with Doan Bui, with whom she made the two comics.
The meeting will be followed by a book signing. The comic book “Fake news, info that does not turn round” is on sale at the reception of the Quai. Reservations strongly recommended, reservations possible with the culture pass.
