L1: Reims 0-0 Paris SG (final)
the 08/10/2022 10:53 p.m.
Uninspired and reduced to ten before the break, Paris Saint-Germain got hooked by Reims (0-0), this Saturday, during the 10th day of Ligue 1. A disappointing result for the capital club which does not take advantage of the Misstep by Olympique de Marseille to widen the gap at the top of the standings.
Deprived of Messi, blessed, Christophe Galtier operated a large review of the workforce with in particular the presence of Neymar on the bench. Absences which manifest themselves clearly despite a good start with a fine strike from Fabian Ruiz deflected by Diouf. Only, the Rémois did not lower their eyes and did not hesitate to exert very high pressure to embarrass the Parisian defenders, the image of Marquinhos, very fragile.
Unequal on paper, the match was clearly not unequal on the lawn. Perfectly launched by Soler, Mbapp had the opportunity to open the scoring but Diouf made a reflex save from the chest. Opposite, Donnarumma also pulled out all the stops with a superb save on a pivot shot from Munetsi. Before the break, the meeting rocked with the expulsion of Ramos, warned of a yellow then a direct red in a few seconds for sweet words towards the referee.
At ten against eleven, Paris logically had more trouble being dangerous. Fortunately for the French champion, Donnarumma was still in for a good evening, coming out with a nice save on a tight shot from Zeneli. To try to bring control, Christophe Galtier launched Neymar. In just a few minutes, the Brazilian distinguished himself with a free kick on target but above all a huge missed opportunity on a left-footed shot that activated next to the target.
Despite their inferior numbers, the Parisians did not really suffer and monopolized the ball. But apart from Neymar, none of them was able to make differences against a Champagne block still as well grouped together. The tense end of the match could also have cost PSG a lot more with yellow cards issued for Hakimi, Neymar and Mbapp, all close to returning to the locker room prematurely. A rotten evening for the leader of L1.
