Group E: Red Bull Salzburg 1-0 Dinamo Zagreb
Few goals, few highlights – the clash between Red Bull Salzburg and Dinamo Zagreb early on Wednesday evening turned out to be a tough affair, with the exception of the final phase. At least the scene of the evening was reserved for a Swiss: Noah Okafor converted the decisive foul penalty in the 71st minute. For the Basel striker, who is under contract with Salzburg, it was the third goal of the season in the Champions League. With Josip Drmic, another Swiss could have set a second highlight in the game, but the substitute guest attacker failed in the final phase at goalie Philipp Köhn – a Swiss notable. In injury time, Drmic actually scored, but the 30-year-old was just offside. A little later, Salzburg’s first victory in the group phase was sealed.
Group F: RB Leipzig 3-1 Celtic Glasgow
RB Leipzig scored its first points in the premier class in the third game. Christopher Nkunku (27th) and André Silva scored the goals for the Saxons, who only had to accept the interim Celtic equalizer from Jota (47th). The Scots are still waiting for their first full success. (major)
